The fortress of Roccapipirozzi (municipality of Sesto Campano, Isernia Molise) was for many centuries a valid military garrison built to 460 mt. s.l.m. the northern slope of Mount Cesima, high ground that initiates Mainarde chain. Castle Roccapipirozzi had its typical military fortress and functions, lost long since, contrary to what happened to many other Molise manors, did not undergo the process of transformation into a mansion. After the properties at the beginning of '900 to the Forte family, the building was left in a sad state of disrepair, until the beginning of the third millennium the pr. Vincent R. L. Di Domenico of Biancavilla, current owner of the fortress, he decided to bring it back to its ancient splendor. The 'building has solid perimeter walls with battlements Piombanti shoe or cantilever, some of which have deep strongly splayed slits and small round holes for the' use of firearms. The best preserved of the building elements are the majestic central cylindrical tower, the male, from the first half of the fourteenth century and the west corner tower. There being no traces of steps, you could only enter the tower with retractable stairs of rope or wood, not to provide access to possible attackers. The corner tower is decidedly modest dimensions. It served as the adjacent postern protection, small back door of the fortress. The restoration work was carried out following the dictates of supervision, even choices different from those made would have been impossible, this also on the characteristics of the castle itself and 'Added an external staircase to the male that provides access to the first floor where there the first circular room with vaulted ceiling and loopholes (closed by small windows that open wood). By means of a boat type scale, to take up as little space as possible, in wood and iron leads to the second circular room but always larger than the one below, always with loopholes and scale that allows access to the flat roof offering a breath-taking round the valley below. The recovery and consolidation of the walls was full with restoring the access portal, now closed by an iron gate, and the old postern behind. The inner square, has also been consolidated by means of a range in a mortar and placement of white breccino. In the small tower inserted into the walls is a bath housed. From the walls you can access the backwaters property to retrieve, specifically a ruin of over 200 square meters, to be used for housing and of which the project has already been presented which involves the construction of n. 7 double rooms with bathrooms, as well as kitchen, living room, living room and patio, designed for tourist destination. Having drawn to EU funds for the recovery of historic properties, there is a usage constraint also public, so there is a monthly public opening decided by its owner. This applies only to the inside of the walls and a residual period of eight years, the course remains a private residence. This constraint can still be removed by returning the part of the loan received, which however remains a small part of the amount invested for recovery. This will be considered in the negotiations for the definition of the price. Through the acquisition of the ownership of the castle you can get a noble recognition, all to evaluate and discuss directly with the owner.
